Peak Fall Protection was engaged to perform the turnkey design and installation of a fixed guardrail system for a backlot facility being constructed at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, FL. A passive fall protection system was desired for the non-pedestrian access that is required on the rooftop to maintain various equipment and components. PFP worked with the Disney project team before construction to design a permanent guardrail system that was installed to the standing seam roof in compliance with all applicable standards, including OSHA, ASCE, Florida and Epcot buildings codes. Our team of trained and competent technicians performed the installation of the guardrail system in compliance with Disney’s safety program and general construction safety requirements. Maintenance personnel are now able to access the roof by an exterior stair system and are protected by the PFP guardrail system when working anywhere on the roof.
