Roof Hatch Rail Systems

When the hinged cover for a roof hatch is left up, the exposed sides become a dangerous fall hazard.  Personnel walking or working near the open roof hatch are subject to injuries that can be caused by tripping over the hatch curb or by stepping backward without looking.  OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.23 requires that such openings have some form of guardrail protection with passage through the railing provided with a swinging gate or offset so that a person cannot walk directly into the opening.  Peak Fall Protection can provide and install a safety railing to allow proper protection around the opening.
